My name is Gabriela Morales, a Mexican-born photographer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Born and raised in Mexico, with close contact to German culture, I grew up surrounded by rich cultural influences that shaped the way I see the world and allowed me to communicate in spanish, english and german. This multicultural upbringing created an open worldview that continues to influence my visual language and my sensitivity to diverse stories, aesthetics, and identities.
Photography has been part of my life from an early age. Before it became my profession, it was my way of observing and understanding the world, translating moments, emotions, and atmospheres into images. This affinity led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Photography at the design akademie berlin, where I refined both my technical skills and my artistic expression.
After completing my studies, I began working as an in-house photographer and videographer at an advertising and content agency. There, I was deeply involved in every stage of the creative process: from concept development and marketing campaign planning to its art direction, photo and video production and editing. Balancing photoshoots with video production allowed me to gain an integral understanding of visual storytelling within a professional and commercial context, as well as a strong sense of brand identity.
This experience played a key role in shaping me as both an artist and a professional. Today, my work is driven by a thoughtful approach, a strong sense of aesthetics, and a genuine curiosity for people and ideas. I aim to create images that feel honest, intentional, and visually compelling, bridging artistic expression with a professional and commercial outlook.
